No.618 of 2025. 2.This case, Cr.No.137 of 2009 is registered for the alleged offences under Section 143, 447, 427 and 506 (i) I.P.C. The defacto-complainant has since died his son is present and submits that he is not willing to pursue the case. Due to the unique manner in which this designated bench conducts hybrid hearings, the filing of written affidavits or terms of compromise is dispensed with. 4.Considering the factual matrix, the context in which the conflict arose, the background of the parties, and their present position, this is an appropriate case for the exercise of jurisdiction under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure as per Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and another (2012 10 SCC 303). 5.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.54 of 2009 of Judicial Magistrate I, Mettur Taluk, Salem stands quashed.
