JUSTICE D K SINGH ORAL ORDER The present writ petition has been filed for following prayers: "WHEREFORE, the Petitioner respectfully prays that this Hon'ble court may be pleased to: a) Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent No.2 to delete the name of the Petitioner from the rowdy list maintained in the office of 2nd Respondent by considering the representation dated 28.05.2020 vide Annexure-B and representation dated 19.12.2023 vide Annexure-; b) Issue such other order or directions as this Hon'ble Court deems fit to be granted in the facts and circumstances of the case by allowing this writ petition in the interest of justice and equity." - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:47084 WP No. 26097 of 2025 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case registered against him has resulted in acquittal vide the judgment and order dated 16.11.2019 on merit. Even otherwise, the offence for which the petitioner faced prosecution was not a heinous offence. 3. He further submits that in view of acquittal in S.C.No.16/2018 under Sections 143, 147, 148, 323, 448, 324 and 307 of IPC, a request was made by the petitioner to delete the petitioner's name from the list of Rowdy maintained in the respondent No.3 - Nandagudi Police Station for which the petitioner has given representations dated 28.04.2020 and 19.12.2023 vide Annexures-B and D respectively, but no action has been taken. 4. On the other hand, Sri.M.N.Sudev Hegde, learned AGA submits that besides the S.C.No.16/2018, the petitioner was also accused in another case in C.C.No.7529/2023, which is registered under Sections 323, 324, 504 and 506 of IPC. It is further stated that in - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:47084 WP No. 26097 of 2025 spite of the aforesaid case, the petitioner's representations will be considered by the respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Bengaluru Rural District. 5. Considering the aforesaid fact, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.2 to consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law for removing the name of the petitioner from the list of Rowdy maintained at respondent No.3-Nandagudi Police Station expeditiously, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this judgment.
