JUSTICE ANU SIVARAMAN and HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL ORAL JUDGMENT (PER: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIJAYKUMAR A. PATIL) This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order of the learned Single dated 06.09.2022 passed in W.P. No.10151/2022, wherein the learned Single Judge of this Court, disposed of the writ petition in terms of the order in WA Nos.932-933/1974. Further it is observed that the respondent- police are restrained from interfering with the online and offline gaming business of the petitioner. It is further observed that the order shall not come in the way of police doing their usual supervision of law and order as provided under the Karnataka Police Act, 1963 or any other law. 2. The respondent-police have filed compliance affidavit dated 24.07.2023 which indicates that the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:46556-DB CCC No. 580 of 2023 respondent- police have visited the premises of the petitioner on various dates as referred in para No.3 of the compliance affidavit. 3. It is further stated that they are not interfering with the online and offline gaming business of the petitioner. In support of the affidavit, a case diary is produced for visiting the premises of the petitioner. 4. The complainant has filed a rejoinder indicating that the police have inspected the premises and interfered with the business activities of petitioner in violation of the direction of this Court. 5. We have perused the affidavit filed by the respondent-police and the documents. 6. Taking note of the same, we are of the considered view that there is no willful disobedience of the order of the learned Single Judge and visit by the police is as provided in the order and only for supervision. There is - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:46556-DB CCC No. 580 of 2023 no material on record to show that the police have interfered with gaming business of the complainant.
