Petitioner is serving as Assistant Teacher, L.T. Grade (Mathematics). He was transferred from Government Inter College, Barrkheri, Kashipur, District Udham Singh Nagar to Government Inter College, Kulanteshwar, District Almora, vide order dated 26.06.2023. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioner filed this writ petition. 4. Coordinate Bench granted interim order in favour of the petitioner on 07.07.2023, pursuant to which petitioner is still serving at Government Inter College, Barrkheri, Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that the sole ground of challenge raised by the petitioner is that his request for mutual transfer was not considered. He submits that the writ petition can be disposed of with liberty to make representation to the competent authority. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider 2025:UHC:9172 petitioner’s request for mutual transfer. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make fresh request for mutual transfer by making a formal application. If he makes such application within three weeks from today, the competent authority shall take decision thereupon within three months thereafter. 8. For a period of four months or till decision is taken on petitioner’s representation, whichever is earlier, status quo qua petitioner’s posting shall be maintained.
