The petitioner has been made accused in connection S.T. Case No.171 of 2024 arising out of Nawa Bazar P.S. Case No. 26 of 2023 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 338 of 2023, for the offences registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 364A, 384, 386 of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI, Palamau, Daltonganj. 3. On 12.03.2023, driver of the informant was abducted by six to eight unknown persons for ransom. The accused persons called the informant on his mobile phone and demanded Rs. 5.00 lakh as ransom. About Rs. 2,20,000/- was paid online in the account of one of the accused and Rs.70,000/- was paid in cash. It appears that the ransom amount of Rs. 2,20,000/- was transferred to the account of this petitioner. 4. Bail Application of the petitioner has earlier been rejected by a Co- ordinate Bench of this Court vide B.A. No. 5397 of 2024. 5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is in custody for more than a year. It was further submitted that the charge has been framed, but prosecution has not examined any witness. 6. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail.
