With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, matter is heard at this stage. 2. Lekh Raj Vs. HRTC and Another2 was instituted by the petitioner claiming the benefit of the decision rendered in Vikram Singh Vs. Himachal Road Transport 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 CWP No.4282 of 24, decided on 30.05.2024 - 2 - Corporation3 . Lekh Raj2 was disposed of with a direction to the respondent-HRTC to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of relief prayed for by him after verifying the facts of the case vis-à-vis the decision rendered in Vikram Singh3, within six weeks. Respondents were further directed to grant the same benefits to the petitioner as were granted in Vikram Singh3 in case he was found to be similar situated. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the above directions, respondents have examined the case of the petitioner; Re-fixed his pay from the due date, but arrears in lieu thereof have still not been paid to the petitioner. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents admits the above position and states that due and admissible arrears due to the petitioner on account of re-fixation of his pay, shall be released in his favour within six weeks from today. Considering the fact that Lekh Raj2 was disposed of on 30.05.2024 with direction to the respondents to grant benefit due and admissible to the petition within six weeks, prayer of the respondents is accepted. Admissible benefits due to the petitioner under pay fixation order be now released to him 3 CWPOA No.2343 of 2020, decided alongwith connected matters on 09.11.2023 - 3 - within six weeks from today. It is, however, made clear that in case payment is not made to him within six weeks, the same shall carry interest @ 6% per annum from the due date.
