The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner purchased a property measuring an extent of 1,242 sq.ft., comprised in Gramanatham S.F.No. 207/A10, No. 56, Perumbakkam Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, by way of a registered Sale Deed dated 18.10.2023, and has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the same. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an application to the 1st respondent seeking the issuance of a patta in his favour. However, the application was kept pending on the ground that the said land is classified as a "Lane" in the revenue registers maintained by the 2nd respondent. Aggrieved by this, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 12.03.2025 to the respondents to rectify the erroneous classification and issue a patta. As the said representation has not been considered to date, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court. 3. In reply, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s representation dated 12.03.2025 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of six weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 13812 of 2025 __________ Page3 of 4 the petitioner’s representation dated 12.03.2025 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner. 6.
