WP No. 15023 of 2025 __________ Page2 of 4 Order This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue a patta in the petitioner’s name in terms of the Allotment Order dated 07.06.2008, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2023. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was allotted land under the "Land Assignment Scheme for Landless Poor Farmers, 2006" vide Assignment Order dated 07.06.2008 in S.F.No. 76/3, measuring an extent of 0.22.5 Hectares (equivalent to 56 cents) and S.F.No.76/4, measuring 0.08.5 hectares or 0.21 cents, totalling 0.77 cents . Although the said land was assigned to the petitioner by the Government specifically for agricultural purposes, the revenue records, including the village accounts, continue to reflect the classification of the land as "Government Tharisu Poramboke". Aggrieved by this, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.03.2023 to the respondents, requesting them to issue a computerized patta and carry out the necessary mutations in the revenue records in accordance with the said assignment scheme. As the said representation has not been considered to date, the petitioner has been constrained to approach this Court. 3. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s representation dated 19.03.2023 will be disposed of by the 3rd respondent within a period of ten weeks.
