The petitioners in C.M.P.No.29288 of 2024 seek impleading in the above writ appeal. From the submissions of the leaned counsel for the parties, it is gathered that the writ appeal relates to fixation of seniority of the parties there to, who are working as Assistant Executive Engineers in the rank of Assistant Engineers which will have a bearing in their seniority in the post, in which, they are now working. 2. It is not in dispute that those persons who are covered by the order made in W.P.No.3756 of 2020 have already been promoted as Assistant Executive Engineers and they are no longer working as Assistant Engineers. The Chennai Corporation however, in the guise of obeying the status-quo order that is granted in the said writ appeal is delaying the promotion of the petitioners in C.M.P.No.29288 of 2024 who are admittedly working as Junior Engineers working in the lower category entitled to promoted as Assistant Engineers. The pendency of the W.A.No.810 of 2024 has nothing to do with promotion of persons who are in the lower categories as Assistant Engineers.
