[2025:JHHC:11218 ] IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Cr.M.P. 788 of 2025 Chand Kishore Murmu, aged about 24 years, son of Khela Murmu, resident of village- Mandu Chatti, Mandu, P.O. & P.S.- Mandu, Dist.- Godda, Jharkhand … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand … opp. party Coram: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR CHOUDHARY For the Petitioner : Mr. Krishna Kumar , Adv. For the State : Mr. Anup Pawan Topno , Addl. PP 02 / 11.04.2025 Heard the parties. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed by the petitioner with a prayer for modification of the order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025 by which, the petitioner was given the privilege of anticipatory bail and for further extension of period of time for surrender in terms of the order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025. It is next submitted that as due to inadvertence, name of the district was wrongly mentioned as ‘Ramgarh’ instead of ‘Godda’ in the cause title of the anticipatory bail application filed by the petitioner, therefore, the name of the district was accordingly printed as ‘Ramgarh’ in the order passed by this court, in the said anticipatory bail application, instead of ‘Godda’ and because of the same, the petitioner could not surrender before the court below within the stipulated time, hence, it is submitted that the order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025 be modified accordingly. Considering the facts of the case and the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025 is modified to extent that the word “Ramgarh” after the word ‘District’ mentioned in the cause title of the order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025 be read as “Godda” and the prayer for extension of time for the petitioner to surrender in the court below in terms of the order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025 is allowed. Hence, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the court below “within six weeks from the date of this order in terms of the order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025 ”. The order dated 20.02.2025 passed in ABA No. 1209 of 2025 is modified to the aforesaid extent only. This criminal miscellaneous petition is disposed of accordingly. (ANIL KUMAR CHOUDHARY, J.) Smita/-
