Ms. Shweta Nahata, DAG, Haryana. *** AARADHNA SAWHNEY. , J (ORAL) Apprehending threat to his life and liberty from private respondents, the petitioner has filed the present petition with a direction to official respondents No. 2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of petitioner . 2. While mentioning the factual backdrop of the case leading to the filing of the present petition, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that a civil dispute with regard to execution of sale deed was going on between the petitioner and respondent No.5. Since respondent No.5 failed to perform his part of contractual obligation, a civil suit for specific performance of the agreement to sell was filed by the petitioner and in the said civil suit respondent No.5 was restrained from alienating the suit land by learned Civil Judge (Junior Division) Karnal, vide order dated 29.04.2023. Feeling aggrieved of the order passed by the Court, as has been alleged by the petitioner, an attempt was made to kill him. Consequently, at his instance, criminal proceedings i.e. FIR No. 515 dated 07.07.2025 was registered against the private respondents No. 6 to 10 for commission of offence punishable under Section 25 of Arms Act and 109(1), 351(3), 61 of BNS in Police Station Sadar Karnal. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the video was uploaded at the instance of private respondent No. 10. In fact, immediately thereafter, a representation was filed by the petitioner with a prayer to fairly conduct the investigation. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Ms. Shweta Nahata, DAG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents-State of Haryana. 5. Without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with direction to official respondents to decide the representations dated 16.07.2025, 31.07.2025 and 02.08.2025 (Annexure P-7 to P9) within a period of five days. In case, it is found that there is a genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken at the earliest, so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner. 6. The petitioner who is alleged to be complainant/victim in the aforesaid FIR is also advised to take recourse of the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018 7. Disposed of accordingly. 8.
