Today also there is no representation on the side of the respondent/husband. Therefore, I have proceeded to hear Mr.G.V.Sridharan, learned counsel for petitioner/wife, who stated that the petitioner/wife is a resident of Ashok Nagar, Chennai and the respondent/husband is residing at Thirumullaivoyal has filed HMOP No.305 of 2025, Sub Court Ambattur. The petitioner/wife has expressed her inconvenience to attend the proceedings at Sub Court Ambattur,on account of her employment at Adyar and also hassle of travelling all the way from Chennai to Ambattur to attend the Court proceedings at Sub Court Ambattur. The averments in Transfer CMP are not contested and there is no representation or opposition for the same. An application to vacate Interim Stay was moved as early as December 2025 but no steps were taken by the respondent to pursue the same. 4. The petitioner has also stated that she has a child of two years is also brought to my notice that on an earlier occasion the parties have filed a divorce petition by mutual consent and which is pending before the Family Court in HMOP No.305 of 2025. In the light of all above circumstances I am inclined to allow the transfer CMP and HMOP No.305 of 2025 is withdrawn from the file of Subordinate Judge, Ambattur and transferred to Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai or assigned or allotted to any Additional Family Court https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis TR CMP No. 689 of 2025 __________ Page3 of 4 Judges upon the discretion of the Principal Judge, Family Court subject to pendency and workload of Family Court, Judges, Chennai. 23-07-2026 VCA To, 1.
