Such directions have been sought in public interest as non-completion of the project in question has been causing difficulty for the local population. 3. Respondent No. 3, namely, the Executive Engineer, Rural Works Department, Work Division, Kishanganj has responded that pursuant to the demand of the local villagers, the Government of Bihar took a decision to construct a RCC bridge, for which finances were made available by the World Bank. No sooner the project report was prepared, the work was allotted to S.B. Engicon Pvt. Ltd. The work commenced on 28.01.2021. It has further been submitted that the bridge has been constructed, but there was no timely construction of the approach road because of the act of God, viz., heavy rains
Patna High Court CWJC No.830 of 2025 dt.25-04-2025 3/3 in the area. Nonetheless, a Committee has already been constituted by the Department to look into the matter as also for inspection of the bridge in question. 4. It appears that the approach road has yet not been completely constructed. 5.
We hope and trust that the approach road shall be made immediately and the bridge, after the verification of its health, is commissioned for traffic without any delay. 6. With the afore-noted direction/observation, the writ petition stands disposed off. 7. Interlocutory application(s), if any, also stands disposed off.
