JUSTICE ANANT RAMANATH HEGDE) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Government Advocate for the respondents/State. 2. The petitioner is assailing the notice dated 23.12.2024 marked at Annexure-A. The said notice is the show cause notice wherein the jurisdictional police issued calling upon the petitioner to show cause as to why rowdy sheet should not be opened against the petitioner. The - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC-K:1642 WP No. 200233 of 2025 petitioner in terms of reply dated 28.12.2024 has objected to the said notice and has requested to drop further action. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in terms of the law laid down by this court in W.P.No.4504/2021, the respondents have to follow the procedure prescribed in the said order and it is submitted that the said procedure is not followed. 4. Learned Additional Government Advocate would submit that the proper procedure is followed according to the Clause-1059 of the Karnataka Police Manual. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Guideline No.(iii) of the aforementioned order is not followed. The statement of objections does not reveal the procedure contemplate in clause(iii) is followed. 6. Under these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to follow the procedure laid down in terms of the order dated - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC-K:1642 WP No. 200233 of 2025 22.04.2022 passed in W.P.No.4054/2021. Thereafter, the respondents shall communicate the decision taken in this regard to the petitioner. 7. This exercise shall be completed within 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
