PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: The petitioner is seeking to quash the order passed by the VI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Markapur, whereby the learned Sessions Judge, while suspending the sentence, directed the petitioner to pay 20% compensation within a period of one (01) month wde order dated 02.12.2024. The petitioner filed Crl.P.No.9597 of 2024, and the learned Judge of this Court remanded the matter back to the appellate Court for fresh consideration. The learned Sessions Judge has held that there are no exceptional reasons to order the deposit of 20% of the compensation amount awarded by the trial Court and reiterated the direction to deposit 20% of the compensation amount. However, the time for deposit is extended till 04.03.2025. It is submitted that the petitioner is suffering from heart-related problems and his health is not keeping well. The learned counsel for the petitioner also places reliance on the medical record of the petitioner, which would indicate that the petitioner is suffering from heart-related problems. 2. 3. Considering the same, time is granted by the learned Sessions Judge, stand extended by four (04) more weeks, starting from 04.03.2025. shall 4. With these directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed off. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
