Crl.OP.No.23540 of 2025 2.The petitioner herein was arrested on 29.06.2025 in connection with Highway Robbery of 1.250 Kgs of gold jewels. According to the prosecution, the defacto complainant merchant in jewellery had placed order for jewels and was transporting it from Coimbatore to Kerala. Knowing about this, the accused persons had intercepted the car of the defacto complainant and abducted him along with the jewels. In the course of intercepting the car of the defacto complainant, this petitioner was driving the lorry had damaged the car of the defacto complainant preventing him from moving forward. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent, states that this petitioner is having bad antecedent of few criminal cases in Kerala and further, he is the prime accused in this case who by driving the lorry intercepted the car of the defacto complainant proceeding further enabling the other accused to abduct the defacto complainant along with the jewels.
