The petitioner No.1-sister of G.Prashant (CTP No.15156) is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a) Appropriate writ, order or direction for quashing the impugned Endorsement dated 27/10/2025 CPB/CTP-SEC.14626/2025 ANNEXURE-‘A’ consequently direct the Respondent No. 3 to release the Petitioner on General Parole for a period of 30 days; b) Issue other directions and orders to the respondents within the facts and circumstances of this case in the interests of justice and equity. 2. The detenu had been convicted in Spl.C.C.No.1030/2022 for offences under Section 302, 201 of IPC by the Additional City Civil & - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:53269 WP No. 33158 of 2025 Sessions Judge, Children’s Court (CCH-51) Bangalore and sentenced on 25.02.2025 with the highest of the sentence being imprisonment for life. The detenu has served a period of 06 years 05 months 15 days of imprisonment as on 02.04.2025 and his conduct in jail is said to be satisfactory. The petitioner having made an application for parole, the same came to be rejected on account of an Criminal Appeal filed by the petitioner challenging conviction as also the bail application being pending. It is in that background, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. A perusal of the record indicates that the detenu has served a period of 03 years 05 months 15 days in incarceration, during these days, the conduct of the detenu has been satisfactory and there is no particular complaint against the detenu. Hence, I pass the following: ORDER i. The Writ Petition is allowed. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:53269 WP No. 33158 of 2025 ii. Respondent–Chief Superintendent, Central Prison, Bangalore, is directed to release the detenu- G.Prashant (CTP No.15156) on parole for a period of 30 days commencing from 22.12.2025, subject to the following conditions: a) The prisoner- CTP No.15156 shall mark his attendance in the jurisdictional Police Station, weekly once throughout the period of his parole and it would be the responsibility of the jurisdictional Police to take them to gaol, in the event, the convict would evade going back to the gaol, after the expiry of the period of parole. b) Respondent No.1- State of Karnataka shall stipulate strict conditions as are usually stipulated to ensure return of the detenu to the gaol and that he shall not commit any other offence during the period of parole. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:53269 WP No. 33158 of 2025 iii.
