JUSTICE MOHAMMAD NAWAZ ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader is directed to take notice for the State. 2. Notice issued by the Police at Annexure – A is sought to be quashed in this petition. 3. The notice is issued in connection with a case registered in FIR No.222/2025 of Parappana Agrahara Police Station. The petitioner is not arraigned as an accused in the said FIR, however, in the course of investigation, the Police have issued notice to the petitioner in view of the statement of the complainant recorded under Section 164 of Cr.P.C. It is submitted that the petitioner is on anticipatory bail. The apprehension of the petitioner that she may be harassed by the Police is based on mere speculation. The statutory duty of the police to conduct investigation cannot be curtailed. For the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:47106 WP No. 34195 of 2025 said purpose, notice is issued to the petitioner, as required under law. Hence, the notice cannot be quashed. However, the Police are directed not to harass the petitioner in the guise of investigation. With the said observation, petition is disposed of. I.A.No.1/2025 is disposed of.
