The instant petition has been filed with the grievance that the request of the petitioner for change of her name in Adhaar Card has not been processed so far. The petitioner has prayed for direction to respondent No.3 to allow gazette publication of notice regarding change of her name. 2. Shri Prem Narayan Rai, Advocate appearing for respondents No. 1 and 2 has placed on record the instructions received from Deputy Director, UIDAI, Regional Office, Lucknow, wherein following stand has been taken:- "2. That in reply to the para 10 and 11 of the Writ Petition the respondent no.2 likes to reiterate the same fact which the (Aadhaar Card Office) informed the petitioner where she had visited, that as per the UIDAI SOP dt 3-11-2021 for Name and Gender Update Request under Exception Handling Process for full name change it is stated that "Where a resident might seek complete name change, in those cases resident can update his/her name in Aadhaar by visiting any Aadhaar Enrolment Centre and can update his/her name by using Gazette Notification of Name Change along with any valid supporting POI document of Old Name. The copy of the UIDAI SOP for full name change is annexed as Annexure no. 4 of instant Writ Petition. That this fact is also pertinent to mention that since 2015 when petitioner Aadhaar was generated her name in Aadhaar is Kumari Lakshmi Kunwar And till date there is no update attempt made by the petitioner for her full name change in Aadhaar, which means no update request of the petitioner is pending at respondent's end." 3. In view of the said stand, we dispose of the instant petition with liberty to the petitioner to proceed as aforesaid to facilitate action by the respondents on the request made for change of name.
