04.01.2025. On going through the representation, it is clear that the petitioner is claiming to be the power of attorney holder of the Swamiji of Ramalingeshwara Mutt and he seeks a direction to the revenue authorities to protect the land, which is in the occupation of the Mutt and to incorporate the name of Sri Sha.Bra.Revanna Siddeshwara Swamigalu of Ramalingeshwara Mutt in the records. 3.
Learned High Court Government Pleader raises an objection that such a direction cannot be issued by this Court in respect of the petitioner. It is firstly claimed that the property belongs to Ramalingeshwara Mutt and therefore, if there is any encroachment at the hands of any individual, then the petitioners have to approach a competent civil Court. The question of issuing directions to the revenue authorities to enter the name of the Swamiji would also not arise, since such a request has to be made to the competent authority in terms of the provisions of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964. 4. Upholding the objections raised by the learned HCGP, the writ petition stands dismissed, reserving liberty to
