1. Prayer in the instant criminal writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life, liberty and property of the petitioners and their family members at the hands of respondents No.5 & 6 and to decide their representation dated 13.02.2025 (Annexure P-3).

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners and respondents No.5 and 6 are doing the same business and due to this, the private respondents are having business rivalry with the petitioners. There is a civil litigation between them and now the petitioners are extending threat to their life and liberty from the side of private Priyanka Thakur 2025.08.19 18:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the petitioners also moved representation (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.3 i.e. Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana.

4. Mr. Ravinder Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and submitted that on representation of the petitioners, the authority will take action as per law.

6. This Court is of the view that no case is made out for giving any direction.
5. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of. The petitioners are at liberty to exhaust legal remedies available to them by moving an appropriate petition before the Illaqa Magistrate in terms of Sakiri Vasu vs. State of U.P., (2008) 2 SCC 409.
