Case of the petitioners is that they applied for being given the benefit of Prime Minister Awas Yojna. Their name was approved in the list prepared in the year 2023. According to the petitioners, they could not meet the illegal demand of money by the Village Pradhan and consequently, their names were dropped from the list. The petitioners have made an application on 23.03.2023 before Chief Development Officer, Azamgarh for allotment of house to them. 2. The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to include the names of the petitioners in the list of beneficiaries. The petitioners have also prayed for direction to the respondent-authorities to decide a representation made by them on 26.05.2025 in this behalf before the Block Development Officer, Tarwa, Tehsil Lalganj, District Azamgarh. 3. Shri Rajiv Gupta, learned Addl. Chief Standing Counsel submits that the Chief Development Officer before whom the representation was filed on 23.03.2023, be permitted to examine the grievance of the petitioners. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 3, Chief Development Officer, District Azamgarh, to decide the representation dated 23.03.2023 by a speaking order within twelve weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the representation.
