The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner was working as an Assistant Executive Engineer, Operation and Maintenance, Kumsi City Sub-Division. By order dated 14.07.2023, the petitioner has been transferred to Operation and Maintenance, City Sub-Division–II, MESCOM, Shivamogga. Before completion of two years of term, by the impugned order, he has been transferred to Vigilance Department, MESCOM, Shivamogga. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. This Court by order dated 01.07.2025, had directed the respondents to allow the petitioner to work in the present place i.e., Operation and Maintenance, City Sub- Division–II, MESCOM, Shivamogga till 14.07.2025, since the petitioner will complete his term by that date. The term of two years as per the transfer guidelines has been completed by the petitioner in Operation and Maintenance, City Sub- Division–II, MESCOM, Shivamogga on 14.07.2025. Therefore, now the prayer sought by the petitioner will not survive for consideration. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:29777 WP No. 18921 of 2025 4.
