By means of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.04 to constitute a panel of experts for recruitment/interview process for vacant posts of Lecturers, Assistant Teachers (L.T.), Assistant Teacher (Primary) and non teaching staff including Senior Clerk, Assistant Clerk and Senior Attendant in Inter College Sri Guru Nanak Public Girls Inter College, Premnagar, Dehradun, District Dehradun. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.04 to give permission for advertisement of vacant posts of Lecturers, Assistant Teachers (L.T.), Assistant Teacher (Primary) and non- teaching staff including Senior Clerk, Assistant Clerk and Senior Attendant in Inter College Sri Guru Nanak Public Girls Inter College, Premnagar, Dehradun, District Dehradun. (iii) Pass any other and further orders, which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case. (iv) Award the cost of writ petition to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner/Committee of Management runs a Girls Inter College in Dehradun. There were various vacancies, therefore, the petitioner sought permission from the respondent no.4, the Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, on 09.10.2024, for advertising the vacant positions, but till date, no decision has been taken on it. Therefore, the respondent no.4, the Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, may be directed to take a decision on the application of the petitioner, which is Annexure No.4 to the writ petition. Learned State Counsel submits that the application given by the petitioner, which is Annexure No.4 to the writ petition, shall be decided shortly within a period of ten days. The Court takes on record the statement given by learned State Counsel. The writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.4/Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, to decide the application of the petitioner, which is Annexure No.4 to the writ petition, within a period of ten days from today, in accordance with law.
