She did not claim as she belonging to Telugu linguistic minority. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:31903-DB WP No. 24373 of 2025 2. After the first round of counselling got over, the petitioner has produced the Study Certificate (Annexure-F), which reads as under: "BONAFIDE/STUDY CERTIFICATE 5th August 2025 SCHOOL DISE CODE: 29200912714 TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN This is to certify that THANUSHREE K daughter of Mr. E Krishna Murthy & Mrs. Sujathamma K H was a bonafide student of this Institution from 1st June 2011 to 30th July 2021 (Std I - Std X) ICSE. This Court fails to understand that how mother- tongue can get changed from Kannada to Telugu, that too, in the year 2025. She had studied in Baldwin Girls' High School, Bengaluru, from 1st to 10th standards, and 11th and 12th standards in Christ P.U. College. She has been born and brought up in Karnataka and she has been living all through out, she never claimed as belonging to linguistic minority (Telugu). Now, after first round of counselling for MBBS admission, in pursuance of the result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) - 2025, she has suddenly come to know that she belongs to linguistic minority (Telugu) and her mother-tongue is changed from Kannada to Telugu. The claim of the petitioner is nothing but an afterthought attempt to take admission against the seats of linguistic minority and such a claim has no basis and therefore, we have no option, but to dismiss the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. Sd/- (D K SINGH) JUDGE Sd/- (VENKATESH NAIK T) JUDGE KVK/List No.: 1 Sl No.: 29
