The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to keep the departmental proceedings in abeyance till the conclusion of criminal proceedings emanating from FIR No.9 dated 07.03.2025 under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 registered at Police Station Vigilance Burearu, Range Amritsar, Amritsar. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondents may be directed not to proceed with departmental proceedings till the filing of police report under Section 193 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. 3. Mr. Aman Dhir, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court on behalf of the respondent-State, MOHIT KUMAR 2025.08.07 18:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment. ` CWP-22826-2025 -2- concedes that this Court in similar cases has directed to keep the departmental proceedings in abeyance till the filing of police report. He further submits that all the witnesses in the departmental proceedings have been examined. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees with the aforesaid statement. 5. In the wake of statement of both sides, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondents to keep the departmental proceedings in abeyance till the date of filing police report in aforesaid FIR.
