2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. The petitioner is the social activist and also belongs to the political party. Therefore, he has threat from the counter parties for him as well as his family persons. The petitioner also had garment business and he delivered the garments orders to one Cholan Garments at AVP Layout Road, behind Kongu Private School, Angeripalayam, Tiruppur and while returning back home at about 12.30 a.m., he had witnessed the incident that two mysterious persons were throwing petrol bomb inside the house of one Balakumaran. In which the petitioner was added as an eyewitness. He helped the Investigation Officer to identify the accused. Therefore, the petitioner has threat for his life and his family members life. 4. The learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the 1st respondent, on instructions, submits that the petitioner’s house is under surveillance and the patta passbook was also created and there is frequent visit by the police. 5. 6. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to continue the same patta passbook and keep the petitioner and his family members under surveillance. 7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition (Criminal) is disposed of. No costs.
