Amir Ali Malik and others vs. The Central Government and others RSA No.277 of 2016 05.09.2025 Present: Mr. Karan Sharma, Advocate, for the appellants. Mr. Nand Lal Thakur, Senior Panel Counsel, for respondent No.1. Mr.Gautam Sood, DAG, for respondents No.2 and 3. Mr. Avneesh Jaryal, Advocate, for respondent No.4. Mr. Vikas Rathore, Advocate, for respondent No.5. Mr. Karan Sharma, Advocate, would submit that despite his best efforts, he has not been able to contact any of the appellants for further instructions. He has placed on record the documents evidencing his contention. The documents are taken on record. In absence of instructions, he has shown his inability to assist the Court, more particularly, for the reason that initially at the time of filing of appeal, the appellants had engaged Mr.Anand Sharma, Advocate, as their counsel by attorning in his favour, who later has been designated as Senior Advocate and thus, requiring fresh authorization and power of attorney from the appellants. In view of the facts as brought on record by Mr. Karan Sharma, Advocate, there is no option with the Court, but to dismiss the appeal for non-prosecution. Ordered accordingly.
