Heard Sri Ajay Triptahi, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent nos.1 & 2. 2. The petitioner by means of the present petition has prayed for the following relief:- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondent no.2 to give permanent police protection for secure the life of the petitioner. (ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to respondent no.2 to decide the applications of petitioner dated 09.07.2024 and 30.07.2025 within specific period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court in the interest of justice." 3. It has been contended on behalf of the petitioner that he has been granted police protection. When a query was put to the learned counsel for the petitioner to produce the order granting such police protection, it was stated that the same is recorded in the General Diary and that there is no separate order granting police protection. It was further submitted that the petitioner, being a Government Advocate, was provided protection, although Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ajay Tripathi Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Kesh Kumar Tiwari .....Petitioner(s) State of U.P. and Another .....Respondent(s) no specific order was passed on the ground of any bona fide threat to his life. 4. Upon perusal of the writ petition, we do not find any material to indicate that there exists a real or imminent threat to the life of the petitioner, therefore, we are not inclined to grant the relief as prayed for. 5.
