Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner runs a school in the name of Swami Omkara Nand Alaknanda Educational Academy Srikot, Ganganali, Srinagar, District Pauri Garhwal (“the School”). In the School, one post of Junior Clerk was vacant due to superannuation of the incumbent. Therefore, on 26.12.2023 (part of Annexure 3 to the petition), the petitioner sought permission for advertising the post of Junior Clerk from the respondent no.2/District Education Officer (Elementary Education) District Pauri Garhwal (“the DEO”). But, till date no action has been taken. It is also submitted that the respondent no.2/the DEO may be directed to take a decision on the matter and permit the petitioner to process the recruitment of Junior Clerk in the School. Learned State Counsel would submit that the respondent no.2/the DEO would take a decision on the representation of the petitioner within a period of four weeks. The Court takes on record the statement given by learned State Counsel. The petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.2/the DEO to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2023 (part of Annexure 3 to the petition) within a period of four weeks from today.
