The challenge in these writ petitions is against an order passed by the 2nd respondent College, the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode, by which the petitioners were subjected to disciplinary proceedings and imposed with penalty of expulsion from the college. Altogether 19 students were dealt with in the said order and similar penalties were imposed. This Court interfered with the said order as per the judgment referred to above in respect of 16 other students, by setting aside the order with a direction to conduct the enquiry afresh. According to the petitioners, in the light of the common judgment rendered by this Court, the petitioners are also to be participated in the fresh enquiry which is now in progress in the light of the aforesaid common judgment. Today when the matter came up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel for the University submitted that, in the enquiry now being conducted afresh, the petitioners are also being included and an opportunity shall be granted to them to raise their contentions against the proceedings initiated against them. In such circumstances, I am of the view that, these writ petitions can be disposed of, in the light of the above. Accordingly it is ordered that, the 2nd respondent while conducting the enquiry in the light of the common judgment in W.P.(C) No.29685/2024, shall consider the case of the petitioners dehors the order passed against them, which was the subject matter of the aforesaid common judgment.
