This Court, vide order dated 22.04.2024, passed in MCRC No. 1849 of 2024, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Suresh Kunjam, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of filing of the charge-sheet, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur District-Raipur (C.G) vide his request letter dated 31.01.2025 has requested for grant of KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 sufÏcient time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the statements of 07 prosecution witnesses have been recorded and cross-examination of 08th witness is pending. In the said case, cross-examination of the Investigating OfÏcer is going on. Apart from this, the evidence of the Malmunshi is yet to be recorded. Further, the stenographer posted at concerned Court will appear on 10.02.2025 after a long vacation from 29.01.2025 to 09.02.2025 and deposition writer will also appear on 10.02.2025 after being on leave from 05.02.2025 to 09.02. 2025. Looking the fact and circumstances of case, it does not possible to conclude the trial within a prescribed time, therefore, she prays for grant of further time for concluding the same. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
