Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, whereby the petitioner Md Imran Hussain has prayed for releasing him on bail after he was arrested in connection with Jagiroad Police Station Case No.48/2025. Page No.# 2/2 3. The wife has alleged in the FIR that the present petitioner being her husband married another woman and after marriage, the petitioner allegedly started to demand Dowry from her. She was also physically and mentally harassed. 4. On 21.02.2025, the petitioner assaulted her for Dowry. The petitioner also tried to kill her with a Dao. 5. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel for both the sides. 6. This is the dispute between the husband and wife. The petitioner has already spent 16 days in Judicial Custody. This Court is of the opinion that nothing would be achieved by keeping him in custody for a longer period of time. 7. The bail application is allowed. 8. Accordingly, the petitioner Md Imran Hussain, who was arrested in connection with Jagiroad Police Station Case No.48/2025 shall be released on bail of Rs.25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Morigaon, Assam. 9.
