The petitioner is seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondent-Tahsildar, Kolar Sub-Division, Kolar, to consider the representations dated 15.11.2024 and 06.03.2025 at Annexures-M and N respectively and enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records based on the grant certificate dated 11.01.1982 at Annexure-A. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted land in Sy.No.4 to an extent of 1 acre and 10 guntas of Chamarahalli Village, Huttur Hobli, Kolar District. The petitioner was called upon to pay the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32486 WP No. 20525 of 2025 kimath and the same was paid. Thereafter, saguvali chit was issued to the petitioner on 11.01.1982. However, the name of the petitioner has not been entered in the land records. 3. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent-Tahsildar, Kolar Sub-Division, Kolar, to verify the records and find out if grant was made in favour of the petitioner, if the petitioner has paid the kimath and whether saguvali chit was issued in favour of the petitioner. If it is found from the records that the facts stated hereinabove are true, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This direction is issued only to enable the entry of the name of the petitioner in the revenue records.
