The petitioner states that he joined the services of 2nd respondent in the year 1987 as a Casual Labourer and retired on 31.03.2018 as a Selection Grade SFA in the 2nd respondent's office. The petitioner states that all retirement benefits were paid except earned leave encashment for 240 days. The petitioner states that the 2nd respondent confirmed his entitlement on 08.04.2019. 3. The petitioner would submit that the Government Orders dated 24.05.2018 and 26.05.2022 mandate calculation of earned leave at 32 days per year from 01.01.1990 and payment at retirement. The petitioner states that he sent representations on 04.06.2025 and 13.06.2025 but no payment has been made. The petitioner would submit that in WP.No.20657 of 2022 this Court ordered a similar payment with 18 % interest. Therefore, the petitioner is before this seeking the prayer extracted above. 4. Considering the fact that the petitioner is entitled to earned leave encashment and the fact that his representations have not been considered the Writ Petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to disburse the amount due under the head earned leave encashment with interest at the rate of 18% p.a., within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
