Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions in the matter which is taken on record and copy whereof is supplied to learned counsel for petitioner. Along with instructions order dated 09.09.2025 passed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Meerut has been annexed whereby petitioner's claim for compassionate appointment has come to be rejected only on the ground that he moved application beyond period of five years. In view of the decision taken by respondents since the application of petitioner for compassionate appointment has been rejected, the relief claimed for in the petition cannot be granted. Petition is rendered infructuous. In view of the above, the petition is consigned to records as infructuous matter with the liberty to the petitioner question the aforesaid order, if so advised.
