ORAL ORDER This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
“Issue a writ or order in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondent No.1 to consider the petitioner representation dated 06.01.2025 as per Annexure-E by settling the terminal benefits with 10% interest from the date of retirement till the date of payment.”
2. The petitioner was appointed as a Revenue Officer in the respondent – Corporation. He retired from service on 31.10.2023, on attaining the age of superannuation. Thereafter, he submitted a representation dated 06.01.2025 vide Annexure-E, seeking settlement of terminal benefits with 12% interest. Since the respondents have not taken any decision, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. The learned counsel for the respondents submits that, if this Court grants some reasonable time, the representation of the petitioner dated 06.01.2025 (Annexure-E) would be considered in accordance with law. - 3 -

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition stands disposed of, directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 06.01.2025 vide Annexure-E, as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
