Learned counsel for the petitioners drew the attention of this Court to the order dated 06.12.2021 passed in Review Petition No.287/2021 at Annexure-K and submits that the review petition filed at the hands of respondents was allowed, while recalling the order dated - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35956 WP No. 1567 of 2024 05.01.2021 passed in W.P.No.35613/2015. However, directions were issued while remitting the matter back to the Deputy Commissioner, Davanagere, to consider the petition under Section 56(2) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, filed by the petitioners herein after affording an opportunity of hearing to all concerned. However, till date, the Deputy Commissioner, Davanagere has not taken up the matter after remittance. 3. Consequently, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 – the Deputy Commissioner, Davanagere to reopen the case in Review Petition No.1/2013-14, issue notice to all the parties concerned and thereafter, proceed to consider the review petition and dispose of the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:35956 WP No. 1567 of 2024 4.
