Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents. 2. By means of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for following relief no. (i) as substantial relief: "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents authority to release the maturity amount of Life Insurance Policy No.0000003363308 in favour of petitioner after the death of her husband namely Bal Krishna." 3. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that in the above regard, petitioner has already approached the competent authority by making a representation on 19.7.2025 which has remained undisposed of till date. 4. Shri Gaurav Kumar Chand, learned panel counsel appearing for respondents submits that respondent no.2 is the competent authority in the matter. 5. In view of the above, we disposed of this writ petition with a Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Krishna Dutt Awasthi Counsel for Respondent(s) : A.S.G.I., Gaurav Kumar Chand Devendri Devi .....Petitioner(s) Chief Post Master General, Government Of U.P. And 2 Others .....Respondent(s) direction to the respondent no. 2 to consider the claim of the petitioner set-up in her representation dated 19.7.2025 and take a final decision in the matter and decide the petitioner's aforesaid claim as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months by a reasoned and speaking order, from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
