THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ADMISSION, THIS DAY,

The second respondent/complainant is present before this Court. On being questioned, she submits that the dispute between herself and the petitioner, her husband, has been amicably resolved. her favour, has been produced and handed over to her in the open Court. In the joint memo filed along with the application, respondent No.2 has also declared that she has received all her personal articles and that there are no further subsisting claims against the petitioner.
3. In view of the amicable settlement, respondent No.2 has stated that she has no objection to the quashing of the proceedings pending in DVC No.21/2022. The record makes it clear that the dispute emanates from matrimonial discord between the parties and that no grave or heinous offence is alleged in the said proceedings. Having regard to the fact that the parties have resolved all their differences, the complainant has received the entire settlement amount, and continuance of the proceedings would serve no fruitful purpose, this Court finds it just and proper to invoke its inherent jurisdiction under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to bring an end to the litigation.
