1. Petitioners seek quashing of G.D. No.27 dated 30.11.2023 under Sections 323, 341, 506, 148, 149, 427 Indian Penal Code, Police Station Sadar, Rupnagar District Rupnagar in FIR No.107 dated 30.11.2023 under Sections 323, 341, 324, 326, 506, 279, 148, 149 Indian Penal Code, Police Station Sadar, Rupnagar, District Rupnagar and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 20.08.2025. Sections 324, 379 and 201 IPC were added in the FIR during investigation. 2. On 30.09.2025, this Court directed the parties to appear before learned trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate for recording of their statements on the basis of compromise. 3. In compliance of the aforesaid order, parties appeared before learned JMIC, Rupnagar on 11.11.2025. Statement of Investigating Officer ASI Jarnail Singh was also recorded on 11.11.2025. 4. Short reply by way of affidavit of Rajpal Singh Gill, PPS, DSP, Sub Division, Rupnagar, District Rupnagar has been filed by State of Punjab, which is taken on record. Learned State counsel and learned counsel for respondent No.2 have not raised any dispute regarding the factum of compromise between petitioners and respondent no.2. 5. Since the matter has been amicably settled between the parties, continuation of the criminal proceedings would be an exercise in futility. Following principles of law laid down by the Full Bench Judgment of this Court in “Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another” 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052 and Hon’ble Supreme Court in “Gian Singh Versus State of Punjab and others” (2012) 10 SCC 303, the petition is allowed. 6. G.D. No.27 dated 30.11.2023 under Sections 323, 341, 506, 148, 149, 427 Indian Penal Code, Police Station Sadar, Rupnagar District Rupnagar in FIR No.107 dated 30.11.2023 under Sections 323, 341, 324, 326, 506, 279, 324, 379, 201, 148, 149 Indian Penal Code, Police Station Sadar, Rupnagar, District Rupnagar and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed qua the petitioners. 7.
