ORDER Date : 24-03-2025 Heard Mr. M.K. Choudhury, learned counsel for the writ petitioner. Perused the averments made in the writ petition. The grievance of the petitioner is that the statutory appeal preferred by him registered and numbered as RR (CAD) No. 07/2022, is still pending disposal with the respondent No. 3 thus causing serious prejudice to the interest of the petitioner. Taking note of the grievance expressed in this writ petition, Mr. S. Dutta, learned standing counsel, Revenue Department, Assam was directed vide order dated 12-03-2025 to seek instruction and apprise this Court as to the status of the appeal. Mr. Dutta submits on instructions that the appeal preferred by the petitioner is fixed again on 09-04-2025 for consideration and within 02 months thereafter, the same will be
disposed of. Mr. Choudhury, learned counsel for the writ petitioner submits that his client will be satisfied if an order to that effect is passed by this Court. In view of the above and taking note of the submission made by the learned departmental counsel, this writ petition stands disposed of by providing that the appeal preferred by the petitioner be considered and dispose of on merit, by a reasoned order, within 02 months w.e.f. 09-04-2025. Writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
