1. The petitioner, by way of present contempt petition, seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent, alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 19.12.2024 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court in CWP No.28214 of 2022.
2. A perusal of the order dated 19.12.2024 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court would show that in light of the affidavit filed by respondent No.3 therein, the writ petition was disposed of. However, it was observed in the said order that if the petitioner was still left with any grievance, liberty was granted to him to submit an appropriate representation to respondent No.3 within a period of one month and decision thereon was to be taken by respondent No.3 within a period of three months thereafter.

3. Compliance report by way of affidavit of Sunil Dutt, Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Gidderbaha, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, has been filed in Court.

A perusal of the same would show that the representation submitted by the petitioner in light of the order dated 19.12.2024 (Annexure P-1) has duly been considered and the outstanding amount, as per the respondents, has been released to the petitioner. A copy of the order dated 11.05.2026 is attached as Annexure R-1 with the above said affidavit.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the interest on the delayed payment has not been considered by the respondents. He submits that the present contempt petition may be disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to challenge the above said order, if so advised.
6. In light of above, the present contempt petition is disposed of with liberty as prayed for.
7. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of accordingly.
