BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MANASH RANJAN PATHAK ORDER 05.04.2025 Heard Mr. A. K. Borah, learned counsel for the petitioner in B.A. No. 617/2025 and Mr. B. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner in B.A. No. 689/2025. Also heard Mr. Bidyut Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State. 2) The petitioner of B.A. No. 617/2025, namely, Md. Sohidul Ahmed, son of Mohiruddin Ahmed, resident of village-3 No. Dharampur, Police Station-Laluk, District-Lakhimpur and the petitioner of B.A. No. 689/2025, namely, Md. Somir Ali @ Somir Ali, son of Abdul Korim, resident of village-Bishnupur, Police Station- Laluk, District-Lakhimpur have filed this application under Section 483 BNSS, 2023 seeking their bail in Laluk Police Station Case No. 192/2024, registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of the NDPS Act, 1985, corresponding to G.R. No. 930/2024, in which, they were arrested on 17.11.2024 and are in custody since then. 3) During the deliberation of the matter, Mr. Bidyut Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam, on instruction, submitted that police after completion of investigation of the case has already submitted charge-sheet in said Laluk P.S. Case No. 192/2024 on 30.03.2025 vide charge-sheet No. 43/2025.
Page No.# 3/3 4) As such, the petitioner is directed to approach the appropriate forum for his regular bail in said Laluk P.S. Case No. 192/2024. 5) With the above observation and direction, this bail application stands closed.
