Challenging the inaction of the respondents in considering and taking action on the petitioner's complaint against the unauthorized and illegal mining and blasting of hill rocks and transport of gravel in Sy.No. 199/A, Lam i Pi 2 Village, Tadikonda Mandal, Guntur District, just beside the residential locality where the petitioner lives, the present writ petition is filed. The petitioner contends that just beside the residential area of 3. Lam village, mining activity has been going on illegally, causing damage to their residential houses. The petitioner has brought to the notice of all the official respondents by way of representations dated 02.01.2025, 20.01.2025 and 07.02.2025 about the illegal mining, however, no action has been taken on the said representations. The petitioner apprehends a threat of damage to the buildings. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology 4. has placed a copy of the instructions, received by the Office of the Director, District Mines and Geology, from the Tahsildar, Tadikonda Mandal, in the case. A perusal of the said proceedings would reveal that the Tahsildar, Tadikonda Mandal, along with the Mandal Revenue Inspector and Village 5. Revenue Officer, have inspected the subject land, observed the illegal mining. and stopped them from conducting mining and entrusted the V.R.O., and V.R.As., of the Villages of Lam, Raipudi, and Yelamanda, to ensure that no further illegal mining occurs in Sy.No.199/A of Tadikonda Mandal. He further requested the Director, District Mines and Geology, and the Tadikonda Police Station to do all necessary to prevent illegal mining in the subject land. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology submits that officials have inspected the said area, and as of today, no such mining activity is happening. 3 6. A copy of the proceedings of the Tahsildar is placed on record.
