The grievance of the petitioner is that his second appeal filed under Section 50 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, before the Joint Director of Land Records, Mysuru region, in Case bearing No.DDL/RRP/15/2017-18 was dismissed for default by order dated 15.10.2022. Learned counsel submits that the matter was earlier transferred to Mysore and the petitioner was not aware of the proceedings taken up by the Joint Director of Land Records. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32499 WP No. 22275 of 2025 3. Having regard to the fact that the second appeal filed at the hands of the petitioner has been dismissed for non-prosecution, this Court is of the considered opinion that the matter has to be heard and disposed of on merits. Accordingly, the impugned order dated 15.10.2022 in Appeal No.DDLR/RP-15/2017-18 is quashed and set aside. The matter stands remitted back to the Joint Director of Land Record, Mysuru region, to reconsider the matter on merits and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from 10.09.2025. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent No.1-JDLR on 10.09.2025 without waiting for further notice.
