The applicant/appellant, Insurance Company has filed this application with a prayer for stay of the Judgment and Order dated 21.12.2022 passed by the learned Commissioner, Employees’ Compensation, Nagaon in NEC ( WC) Case No.60/2013 awarding a sum of Rs. 5,20,584/- to be paid by the insurer to the injured claimant Manoj Saikia within 30 days. The applicant/appellant is aggrieved by the order of learned Commissioner, Employees’ Compensation, Nagaon and has submitted that the order was erroneously passed in a lis between the employee and the employer. I have considered the submissions. The operation of the impugned Judgment and Order dated 21.12.2022 is hereby stayed until further orders subject to the condition that the insurer deposits 50% of the awarded compensation of Rs. 5,20,584/- within 04(four) weeks from today.
