JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL, JUDGE ORDER 28.04.2025 This is a petition for initiating contempt proceedings against the respondents for non-compliance and willful disobedience of the order and judgment dated 7th June, 2023, passed by this Court in LPA No. 219/2022, whereby this Court while dismissing the appeal filed by the private respondent had also directed the official respondents to comply with the judgment of the writ Court and revisit the cases of the petitioner as well as the private respondent. On being put on notice, the official respondents have filed the compliance report dated 5th December, 2023. Along with the compliance report the official respondents have filed a copy of the consideration order bearing No. DFCS&CA-K/Plg/2023/3841-43 dated 24th July, 2023, whereby the official respondents have reconsidered and revisited the cases of the petitioner as well as the private respondent and have decided to renotify the location of the Fair Price Shop. In view of the compliance report filed and consideration order placed on record, there remains nothing for adjudication and the judgment passed by this Court stands complied with. The proceedings in this case are, accordingly, closed leaving it open to the petitioner to work out his remedy against the consideration order in accordance with law.
