Though bail was granted to the petitioners on condition to report before the respondent police, they did not comply with the condition, firstly in view of detention under Goondas Act, and secondly out of fear that, if the petitioners appear before the respondent police, they may again be foisted with criminal cases. 3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court modifies the above condition to the effect that “the petitioners/accused shall report before the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Portonovo, daily at 10.30 a.m., until further orders”. 5.
