This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "a). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the Commissioner, Varanasi Region Varanasi to decide the Appeal No.1012 of 2017 Computerized Case No.C201714001017 (Siyaram Vs. Sitaram) Under Section 331(3) of U.P.Z.A. & L.R. Act 1950, within a stipulated period as directed by the Hon'ble Court." 2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that an appeal under Section 331(3) of the U.P.Z.A. & L.R. Act, 1950 is pending consideration before respondent no.2 since 2017. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the same. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending or calling for a counter affidavit, the writ petition is disposed of requiring the respondent no.2 to take a final decision on the said appeal positively within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law, after hearing all the affected parties. 4.
